Design happened to me when I was not conscious of its presence. To placate my visual obsession, I always found interest in learning and exploring new ways to make my thoughts “visible.” Below is a collection of generative and interactive art pieces I produced on processing as part of my creative coding studio.
TALE OF CITIES
Tale of cities is an art piece that visualizes the demographic of seven cosmopolitan cities of India. This project was an attempt to research and translate numbers or data into an engaging motion infographic.
Type : Interactive Data Visualization
Design genre : Creative Coding, Motion Design
Duration : 1 week
Tools : Processing, HTML/CSS, Excel
Organization: Pratt Institute, 2019
architecture of music
“The Architecture of Music” is a visualization of an audio which translates a musical piece in the form of concrete structures developing in a city. You can watch the full video (with music) here.
Type : Audio Visualizer, Generative Art
Design genre : Creative Coding, Motion Design
Duration : 3 weeks
Tools : Processing, HTML/CSS.
Organization: Pratt Institute, 2019
The Tetric Grid
The geometric piece is a generative art piece that plays with the juxtapositioning of colors and grids and produces a new pattern in each frame. This was my first exploration on processing.
Type : Generative Art
Design genre : Creative Coding, Motion Design
Duration : 1 week
Tools : Processing, HTML
Organization: Pratt Institute, 2019
The Battle of Ecosystems
For the last two decades, the “internet of things” has subjected humanity to an interlinkage of systems that is beyond the outreach of our imagination. This project is a digital illustration of the active ecosystem of data that is creatively increasing and giving rise into micro-ecosystems within macro-ecosystems.
Type : Generative Art
Design genre : Creative Coding, Motion Design
Duration : 2 weeks
Tools : Processing, HTML/CSS.
