The constant juggle between research and design throughout my academic tenure lead to the development of three distinct publications that helped me bridge the gap between words and visuals across various projects.
The Latitude Beneath
This is a studio research project that involved engagement of research and design under the framework of sustainable cities and communities, with a focus on ecological macrocosms and their intersections with physical infrastructure, technological systems and human needs. Field research, applying datasets for analysis and visualization through geographic mapping tools; and respond with messages, artifacts and systems that address socio-ecological issues that embody sustainable principles, practices and procedures were some of the key motives of the project

Design Writing
This is a studio course which focused on core writing skills and effective methods for researching, analyzing, evaluation and chronicling design issues. The motive was to address both critical thinking about design issues and practical considerations through writing and public discourse. helped me develop a voice through writing prior to beginning of my thesis project.

cohort of the “smart”
This thesis is a year-long exploration into researching the extent to which the ecosystem of “smart things” has infiltrated into human systems. “Smart Home Systems” have invaded human lives and are evidently barging into their personal domestic spaces. There is a constant friction between the technocratic group who are responsible for designing these systems and the expectations of the users. My thesis investigates the impact of “smart” home systems on design, architecture and the fabric of human ecosystems.
